Start from the problem, not the technology

Most people arrive describing a situation rather than a service. These are the situations we are asked about most, and what we would do about each one.

Situation 01

Replace a manual process that has outgrown its tools

A process runs on spreadsheets, shared inboxes, and one person’s memory. It works until volume increases, someone is out, or a step is missed.

What we do about it

We document the process as it actually runs, agree on what should change, and build a system that enforces the rules while keeping the exceptions your team legitimately needs to handle.

Signs this is you

  • The same data is typed into more than one system
  • Status questions are answered by asking a specific person
  • Errors are caught late, by customers or during month-end
Situation 02

Connect systems that do not talk to each other

Your CRM, accounting package, operations tool, and storefront each hold part of the truth, and people fill the gaps by hand.

What we do about it

We define where each type of record lives, build documented interfaces between systems, and add monitoring so failures are visible instead of silent.

Signs this is you

  • Reports require assembling exports from several systems
  • Records disagree between systems and nobody knows which is right
  • A vendor’s integration covers most of what you need, but not all of it
Situation 03

Add AI to work your team already does

There is pressure to use artificial intelligence, but no clear picture of where it would help or how results would be checked.

What we do about it

We pick one process with a measurable definition of success, scope the data and permissions, evaluate against your own examples, and expand only where results justify it.

Signs this is you

  • Staff spend hours reading, summarizing, sorting, or re-keying documents
  • Incoming requests need triage before anyone can act
  • Knowledge exists in documents nobody can search effectively
Situation 04

Launch a software product under your own brand

You have a product idea or an existing service that customers would pay to access as software, but no development capability to deliver it.

What we do about it

We build the application to your specification, apply your branding, and implement the licensing, provisioning, and support structures your commercial model requires.

Signs this is you

  • Customers ask for access to something you currently deliver manually
  • You want to resell software under your own name
  • You need per-customer configuration without a separate build for each
Situation 05

Modernize an application that is difficult to change

An application still works but is expensive to modify, hard to host, or dependent on a technology or person you can no longer rely on.

What we do about it

We assess the system, identify what must be preserved, and plan a path — extend, re-platform, or replace in stages — with the risky parts addressed first.

Signs this is you

  • Small changes take weeks or are avoided entirely
  • The original developer is no longer available
  • Dependencies are past end of support
Situation 06

Extend your team’s capacity for a defined period

Your internal team has the domain knowledge but not the hours, or lacks a specific skill for one part of a project.

What we do about it

We work to your standards and your process on an agreed scope, with clear boundaries around what we own and how the work is handed back.

Signs this is you

  • A committed deadline exceeds internal capacity
  • A project needs a skill your team uses only occasionally
  • Delivered work must fit standards your team already maintains

If none of these describe your situation

Send a plain description of what is happening and what you would like to be true instead. If we are not the right fit, we will say so and, where we can, point you somewhere more suitable.
